Vasko, Olha ; Dvořáčková, Simona (advisor) ; Babica, Jan (referee)
Drug utilization of specific biotherapeutic agents and biosimilars in the Czech Republic Author: Olha Vasko Supervisor: PharmDr. Simona Dvořáčková, Ph.D. Department of Social and Clinical Pharmacy Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Charles University in Prague Introduction: Biosimilars represent an alternative to innovative biological medicinal products, contribute to improvement of the effectiveness of treatment and enable to gain access to expensive therapy of serious diseases. Objective: The objective of the practical part of the diploma thesis was to analyze trends in drug utilization of specific biotherapeutic agents and biosimilars in the Czech Republic between 2008-2022. The secondary aim of the practical part was analysis of the expenditures for specific biotherapeutic agents and biosimilars in given period. Methods: Drug utilization from the database of the State Institute for Drug Control has been evaluated from 2008 until 2022. The values of defined daily doses were used to process the results, which were subsequently converted to the number of defined daily doses per 1000 inhabitants per day (DID). Descriptive statistics was used for the retrospective analysis of the drug utilization. The following drugs were included in the analysis: filgrastim, pegfilgrastim, lipegfilgrastim,...

Farkašová, Veronika ; Horký, Pavel (advisor) ; Doseděl, Martin (referee)
Consumption of biologic drugs (biologics) in the Czech Republic Author: Veronika Farkašová Supervisor: doc. PharmDr. Jozef Malý, Ph.D. Department of Social and Clinical Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Charles University Introduction: Biological treatment is modern alternative to chemotherapeutics especially in patients with difficult-to-treat diseases of autoimmune origin, as well as patients with other diseases as is cancer. They are heavily used in oncology for their wide range of indications. They are used as a monotherapy as well as in combination with traditional chemotherapy. Use of biological treatment can reduce the amount of treatment cycles of chemotherapy and reduce unwanted adverse effects. Objective: The aim of the diploma theasis was to analyze the consumption of biologigal treatment rituximab, bevacizumab, cetuximab and alemtuzumab. Methods: A retrospective analysis of the consumption of biosimilars rituximab, bevacizumab, cetuximab and alemtuzumab was performed from 1. 1. 2010 to 31. 12. 2020. The selection of specific biosimilars was made on the basis of their wide indication spectrum. Consumption data were obtained from the database of the State Institute for Drug Control (SÚKL). Procedures of the use and application of the biochemical preparations to the aquatic environment quality and water elements sediment state adjustment in the frame of cultural heritage management
Rozkošný Miloš ; Hudcová Hana ; Kratina Josef ; Sedláček Pavel ; Dzuráková Miriam
The monument procedure contains knowledge and instructions, which, according to the experience gained, should contribute to solving the unsatisfactory state of the aquatic environment in terms of water quality, excessive algae growth, increased turbidity, odor, and worsening conditions for fish life. This is usually associated with fluctuations in oxygen content and pH of water, the occurrence of toxic forms of metals, ammonia, etc. One of the parts is devoted to the possibility of the application of biological and biochemical preparations to reduce the organic component of sediments and reduce their volume. Recommendations are given for the survey of sediments, analysis of their composition, and determination of a suitable procedure for the application of preparations. Part of the monument procedure is documentation for the design and production of cultivation equipment for biological preparations (bioreactor), including description of its operation and maintenance.

Methods of cultivation and protection of potatoes in organic farming
Dykast, Petr ; Tomášek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Král, Martin (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of effectiveness of biological productss intended for the protection and promotion of plant growth. The literary research contains the theoretical part dealing with potato cultivation in the organic farming system. Own work deals with methodology and materials of his own experiment. The whole experiment was carried on the fields of the author of the thesis and focuses on the effectiveness of the selected means used in potato cultivation in organic agriculture and the comparison of the effects biological products versus variant without treatment. The main aim of the experiment is to monitor the effectiveness of potato mold and their effect on crop yield. Another objective is to monitor the effectiveness of the product to reduce the incidence of pests.
